Re-order annotations
Whenever you add an annotation to an image or video, it will appear in the Annotations list on the far right of the screen (AKA the Z Axis). Each new annotation will appear at the top of the list by default.
The order in which annotations appear determines which layer they sit on in relation to the other annotations in the image or frame.
For example, take a look at the Avocado below where the pit is annotated separately
Nothing too out of the ordinary there, but look what happens when the opacity of the polygons is adjusted to 100% (the equivalent of what the annotations would look like as a PNG mask):
If you take a look at the Annotations menu, you'll notice that the Avocado annotation is above the pit. We can re-order the annotations by:
- Dragging and dropping them.
- Selecting one annotation and using the keyboard shortcut
Ctrl + [
to move it down the list, andCtrl + ]
to move it up.
By re-ordering the pit annotation above the avocado, it now sits on the layer above, and all is right with the world.
